Ordinarily you don't use it for much of anything as you are able to create user accounts with Administrative privileges. If the Mustek installer won't work from a user account with Administrative privileges, restart your computer in Safe Mode (press and hold the F8 key prior to the Windows XP banner appearing when you first start up your computer and you'll receive the startup menu where you can use the up and down arrow keys to select 'Safe Mode'). At the login screen in Safe Mode, click on the Administrator user name and supply the administrator password (if any was entered when Windows XP was installed on your computer). Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware () Thanks Jef, will give this a try. I know how to get into safe mode, but I was just confused about 'using a capital 'A' ' Once this is completed, will this allow the Mustek to be listed in device manager then? Do you happen to know?
